WHY IS IT SO HARD TO GET A JOB TwT

I'm currently an unemployed high school graduate who had NO PLANS for university and this is actually the worst part of life rn. Like im a certified lifeguard, I have first aid training, I'm charming a charismatic but yet THAT IS NOT ENOUGH TO GET A JOB ⋋_⋌. THEY HAVE A LIFEGUARD SHORTAGE IN MY CITY AND YET NONE OF THE POOLS IVE APPLIED FOR HAVE CONTACTED ME. THERE IS LITTERLY A JOB SHORTAGE IN MY CITY!!!!
