(hi, i wrote all of this in the middle of the night so a lot of things may not make sense or may contradict each other. plz ignore it...)

intro i think

music is a form of expression and the thing that makes music good is the emotion the author puts into it

i listen to all music genres but i believe the kind of music that you listen to can determine who you are as a person

imo music can make you feel emotion and it can be happy sad angry anything but what music u listen to most i feel can definitely say what kind of person you are

somw shit abt the kind of music u enjoy

a lot of the songs i listen to i find are relateable and the music i listen to is usually a lot of vent or stupid weird sad shit that onyl certain ppl can really relate to and i believe this says a lot about me because i bleieve i am the kind of person to be very "edgy ;-;" and cry for no fucking reason

when i listen to happy music im usually in a happier mood and i feel like a jolly happy person but when im listening to like shadows by destroy boys i just relate to that song on such a deep level it actually makes me want to gatekeep it because of how releatebly really almost every destroy boys song is 

music nine hates and why (for some reason)

and lets go on with music i fucking hate starting with yaelokre there is literally no emotion in the songs and its nothing i can relate to because its just fucking ocs singing and if u couldnt tell the pattern i only like songs that i can understand but not im not gonna like "where have you buried all your children" because thats not relateble tf and anyway a lot of yaelokre songs in my opinion have like no emotions in them like no expression or art because the creator is really singing abt the ocs and not about themselves which is also why i feel like why i dont enjoy the music because THEY ARENT SINGING ABOUT REAL PEOPLE

but anyway other than that i also hate the iced tea song i forgot which flavor they were singing about but i hate the high pitched voice i hate how mr assistant is trying to sound like an emo boy and also the song does have emotion in it and i can tell the creators really love their song but because it has such a happy and bubbly vibe to it which i am not used to because i literally listen to songs abt a girl running away from home at 17 (love u devi) or some shit i just cant rlly enjoy a song like that

but at the same time i also dislike rebzy i dont even wanna talk about i hate him a lot and i dont want to dedicate a paragraph to him so we're gonna end it here

and so anyway i realize that i only like songs that i relate to which is pretty obvious ive said it a million times but im not sure about other people and i dont know if this goes for everyone else. and id just like to say not all music i like is "depressed ;-;" shit but the MAJORITY of it is which is why i said that earlier. i enjoy songs i dont usually relate to for example crazy by le sserafim but it is not a song i favor

in my opinion songs i like are different from songs that are my favorite. a favorite song is something i listen to on repeat while a song i like is just a song that i like to listen to its not rlly all that but if its catchy i'll add it to my liked songs. the songs that i FAVORITE are usually the songs that i relate to the most which are also the ones i play on repeat. again relateble songs are the only songs i srsly like lol

how to write good music (in nines opinion)

so anyway again idk if other ppl relate to this but if you want to make a very meaningful song that has impact on ppl make it relateble in some way even one lyric could make it enjoyable. for example destroys boys "plucked." if ur a writer or artist you will ONE HUNDRED PERCENT relate to plucked because its literally singing abt artblock/writerblock even tho it isnt directly saying anything about artblock or writingblock its just something only specific people and understand and thats why i love destroy boys because the things they sing about can be very relateable to certain people and anyway plucked is also very poetic and im gonna show u a lyric

"you take a bird out of the sky when she wants to fly. you wonder why she wants to fly." this is talking about how she wants to write and make lyrics but she cant because of her writingblock and she hates it so much and btw birds are meant to fly just like how SHES MEANT TO BE WRITING SHE WAS BORN TO WRITE OH MY GOD

appreacitaing music writers and stuff

i love musicians and lyric writers theyre all so talented i love destroy boys i love devi i love everyone else and by the way dont talk shit abt peoples music taste because music literally tells u who someone is i swear

and also music just doesnt have to be relatable it can also have a story behind it which makes it good and ive found that in my opinion i dont care if ur singing sucks or not if its catchy or theres a deep meaning and story behind it i'll actually like it (would this be considered a pro of being able to listen to most music genres or i actually feel like nobody cares)
