Chilla’s Art Games: Me yapping again.

Alright, today i don't have anything to do so here i am again...( •̯́ ^ •̯̀)Idk how many of you know about Chilla's art games, but if you like indie and horrors you should read this! it can be useful ngl.(>/////< " ) So folks, buckle up because we’re about to dive into the wonderfully weird world of Chilla’s Art games. If you haven’t heard of these games yet, get ready for a rollercoaster ride through quirky horror, strange plots, and some of the most unexpected scares you’ve ever seen. Imagine if Tim Burton and a Japanese indie developer teamed up to make a series of video games that are horror. That’s basically what Chilla’s Art is all about. Weird, isn't it? (*´▽`*)

So, let’s start with the basics: Chilla’s Art is a small indie game developer known for creating horror games that are both charmingly bizarre and surprisingly unsettling. Their games are like if you mixed a creepy bedtime story with a video game and then added a pinch of the weirdest dreams you’ve ever had. They’re not your typical jump-scare fests or gore-heavy thrillers. Instead, they’re more like quirky, unsettling experiences that leave you wondering. ( ദ്ദി ˙ᗜ˙ )

One of the first things you’ll notice about Chilla’s Art games is their unique style. The graphics are intentionally a bit rough around the edges, giving the games a retro, almost homemade vibe. It’s like playing a game that’s been crafted with love and a dash of DIY spirit. It’s charming in a way that makes you feel like you’re stepping into someone’s bizarre, handcrafted dreamscape.(。 •̀ ⤙ •́ 。)

Let’s start with “The Convenience Store,” which is probably one of their most famous titles (i think so, i am not too sure, but i have saw may youtubers playing this one).  Imagine you’re working the late shift at a convenience store in a quiet, sleepy town. Sounds pretty mundane, right? Wrong. This isn’t your average convenience store. It’s like the store was built on the site of a forgotten horror movie set. You’ve got creepy customers, weird noises, and an unsettling atmosphere that makes you question whether you accidentally walked into a parallel universe where everything is a little off. ( `−ㅿ−`)

The game starts with you managing the store, stocking shelves, and handling customers. Everything seems normal at first. As the night progresses, things start to get stranger and stranger. You might find yourself dealing with a not so nice ghost.

One of the best parts of “The Convenience Store” is how it plays with your expectations. It builds tension in such a way that you start to question whether something terrible is about to happen, or if it’s all just in your head. It’s like being in a horror movie where you’re not sure if the next scene will be a jump scare or a bizarrely funny moment. It’s a great example of how Chilla’s Art mixes the creepy with the quirky in a way that keeps you on your toes. Σ(°△° ꪱꪱꪱ)

Another gem in the Chilla’s Art lineup is “The Closing Shift.” This one takes the concept of working a late-night job to a whole new level of weirdness. You’re working at a coffee shop, but instead of serving up lattes and mochas, you’re dealing with increasingly bizarre events. It’s like your regular coffee shop suddenly turned into a place where the laws of reality don’t quite apply.

The game kicks off with you performing your usual barista duties. You’re making coffee, cleaning up, and generally trying to make it through your shift. But then things start to get, well, weird. The coffee shop starts filling up with strange characters who seem to have come straight from a surreal dream. There’s a guy who is kinda stalking you and you'll have to find a way to escape from this weirdo.

The atmosphere in “The Closing Shift” is a mix of eerie and hilarious. It’s like working at a coffee shop where your customers are straight out of a feverish dream. The game does an excellent job of building suspense while also throwing in moments of weirdness that make you cringe a little.

Moving on to “The Bathhouse,” we have a game that’s like a creepy visit to a public bathhouse where things are not as they seem. You’re working as a receptionist at a traditional Japanese bathhouse, and everything starts off just fine—until it doesn’t. The bathhouse, it turns out, has a few skeletons in its closet (metaphorically speaking, of course). The game is full of strange occurrences, spooky sounds, and an overall sense of unease that builds up as you try to figure out what’s really going on.(·•᷄‎ࡇ•᷅) But i don't want to spoiler it too much ngl.

What’s really cool about Chilla’s Art games is how they manage to create a sense of dread and unease using everyday settings. Instead of the usual haunted houses or abandoned asylums, you’re dealing with places like convenience stores, coffee shops, and bathhouses. It’s a refreshing twist on the horror genre that makes you look at ordinary places in a whole new light. (⚈₋₍⚈)

The games also feature a lot of clever writing and dialogue that adds to the overall experience. The characters are quirky and memorable, and their interactions with you are often both funny and unsettling. The writing helps to build the game’s atmosphere and keeps you engaged as you try to unravel the mystery behind each strange occurrence.  ( •̯́ ^ •̯̀)

The sound design in Chilla’s Art games is also worth mentioning. The music and sound effects are used to great effect, creating a sense of tension and unease that complements the gameplay. Whether it’s the eerie background music or the creepy sound effects, the audio adds to the overall atmosphere and helps to immerse you in the game’s world.

Overall, Chilla’s Art games are just masterpieces, you should try to check them out when you have free time,
