09/24 settling in before fall

crossed off #2 on my korea bucketlist by attending 돗자리마켓

they are roughly held every 3-4 months since last year and i was crossing my fingers for a new date and scored 9/1 ( ⓛ ω ⓛ *) which conveniently is right before classes start ^_^

i did Not want to make the same mistake waiting crazy long again like last time so i went right at the beginning of the waiting period (an hour before opening) but got slightly lost until i found gals in cute clothing going my direction and was like wait......this is the right way (*´∇｀)ﾉﾉ감사

arrived only 10 mins late and had to reserve my spot via korean phone number and __(._.)_ bruh do not play right now i don't have one yet

then one of the workers came out to fix the sign and like a lost puppy i was like i need to be here pls how do i reserve (人´_｀)♡

so instead i got my own foreigner-reserved waiting number

1 hr later and we are here (´ཫ`)‬

had a mix of flea market goods and artist merch ^^

again was quite a crowded area so minimal pics 

but so much 짱cute stuff

there was this awesome clock until i realized it was vampire knight (いや–°)

[*sigh* i needwant more obscure official otaku merch though instead of general prints and charms cause i have too much]

i say that and held off on this sheet? towel? 

i should have purchased now that im writing this ..... 

but, from the same seller i got this madoka magica bts magazine

interesting graphics and fonts i needed for creative inspo!!

my last first day of undergrad was the least stressful beginning of the school year ever (ノ_・。)笑

im considered a history major here to fulfill my ge requirements and......

is this the life as a humanities major ( =ﾟωﾟ)?

 life is so going to be stress-free i already know

however going back for spring semester will literally bite me in the a** because im taking my last major requirements: biochem & neurobio lab (the most time consuming classes ever)

after my third day of class i went grocery shopping with my friends (although the food is super cheap here i need a larger serving of fruits and veggies holy sh*t)

& didn't realize subaco was right in the area 

i didn't get much here but i know maybe 2 years ago me would have freaked (blaming my change of interests/aesthetics)

generally successful every time i go to a vintage shop but the sizes limit me cause 가슴부분이 좀.....

i am far from a party/club person but my fomo is so bad even though i want to go home so bad at the club.......

but im compromising because of the amount of accessible otaku/breakcore(lol) sets is honestly pretty insane and there are always gigs for local rock & punk bands(that don't cost a band compared to the states) so muung is good★

although,

after 9 months of growing my haircut from jan(was way too short) i finally went into get my hair done because the humidity here actually makes me look so bad with my overgrown and heat damaged hair  

i styled my hair hella and wore my best outfit LOL before showing my inspo pics bcs i wanted to ask what would fit with me/vibes and unknowingly was similar to what i wanted hell yea(´ ∀ ` *)

 me now-ish(my hair is not as long) ^^

the treatment saved my life cause i dont have to straighten my wavy hair as much and just for volume purposes, but it has been a pain doing my bangs everyday as this is my first time essentially disregarding my natural hair parting

i did ask for styling help to do jaejoong-style bangs (when i pulled his pic the salon director chuckled and said he only used jj as inspo LOL) from time2time but when i've tried at home i can't get it to lay right  (*- -)          

like they recommended this hair wax so i got it but for the life of me i can't gauge a good amount to apply cause it just never ends up staying/being enough or just looks and becomes greasy as hell

BUT(´• ω •`)

my hair transformation is not done yet as i will dying it dark purple later in 10月 hehe i wanted to stay black but god a dye&bleach here is so cheap i have to take advantage plus the roots growing in wouldn't be terrible && i have been including more purple in my eye makeup so would match well (｡~^~)

not sure if this too cool tone for me but we will see soon ^^*

(the last time i had purple hair was in 1st grade so we are sorta coming full circle)

【my takeaways after being here a month】

seeing a lot of k/j-2000s style and things here outside (....duh) a lot and taking inspiration outside instead of online

which has its pros and cons cause i can develop my outer appearance a little more but at the cost of not pursuing my creative interests ( _ _ )..........★o mainly because cause i feel like im wasting my time online (when i do its just bedrotting)

leading me to spend load$ of money

i think you can sorta tell from how much i'm shopping but

i have been in dire need to get some boots w/ buckle but i'm so picky about the buckle placements (also is getting slightly oversatured 2me) that i kept on holding off but in korea the shoe game is too good so i needed cuter shoes like Bad so i scoured online and bought these from miz mooz ^^

 very excited these are so so cute

my thoughts are that these can match with anything

even with pants that i am more comfortable wearing the button detail will still show.....so very excited(again) they did cost me $200+ because of customs and shipping but idgaf so hard
