February 10th, 2024: Virtue by The Voidz (Album Review)

This album is interesting to me; it has some points where it's catchy and funky, and most of the time it's just an atmospheric journey. I honestly feel like the experience was one of the best I've had. Now, due to most of these tracks being so everywhere, I couldn't really find any common themes with any song on the album; they were all so different, and I can't help but love the album for that.

Highlights aside from the first track are definitely "Pink Ocean" and "One of the Ones." For me, "One of the Ones" is one of the most ONE-derful songs ever (get it? funny.) It's short time and catchy hook give it so much replay value, and "Pink Ocean" is just perfect for, like, being absolutely alone and heartbroken (how I feel on a daily basis), just soul crushing, like, wow.

A low point on this album for me is definitely Black Hole , and tracks 7, and 8. I've done like 10 relistens to this thing, and I still cannot remember anything from tracks 7 nor 8, and I just remember Black Hole being loud, in a bad way loud though, not like JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown loud, like, A bass-boosted chalk scraping on a whiteboard loud, which isn't so appealing considering music isn't supposed to sound like that. Still a nice track overall, though; maybe it'll grow on me, though we never know.
