This one is for schoolwork

I'm going to do a short review on the book Holes by Malorie Blackman.

The book is about a young boy named Stanely Yelnats. His family has a history of bad luck and in this case, Stanely is sent to camp Green Lake, which is an all-boys correction camp. He was accused of stealing a famous baseball player's, Clyde Livington, shoes. He didn't steal them though the story of how he found them sounded unbelievable.

For the most part of the book, it was just him digging holes, while another story was being told of the past about his great, great Grandfather who had made a deal with Madam Zeroni but didn't manage to complete the deal. Another story told was one about how Kissin' Kate Barlow came to be.

I liked the story personally. I like how the main character didn't have a dramatic change, which shows the correction camp didn't really do anything. I also liked it because it was genuinely a good book. I liked how relatively realistic it was and how sometimes I could relate to a few things.

Do read the book. It isn't overly long but still an ok read!!
