Please do not try to reach out to child predators.

I haven't been keeping that close of an eye on the SmartSchoolBoy9 situation, but I've heard of a recent viral video related to him. In the video, a group of adolescents are harassing someone who they believe to be SSB9.

It makes sense that a situation with such high publicity would result in impulsive types, especially kids, trying to find SSB9 and give them some sort of "punishment." I'm here to tell you not to do that. Under NO circumstance should you try to contact a child predator, especially if you are underage yourself.

You are not a hero for making fun of them in their comments or anything else like that. It just shows that you don't care about the situation. At best, you will get blocked and they will deny the allegations. At worst, you actively risk the safety of potential victims.

When everything with my groomer was first exposed, it was done in a fairly large Discord server for the community I was in at the time. Within a few hours, there were people doing fucking ban speedruns in my groomer's server. Some of these people were in the age range my groomer usually preyed on (14-17). I had to tell people older than me not to laugh at the situation.

There were kids in my groomer's server who, to this day, may still believe that he is innocent. People going into his server to harass and troll him would hurt their chances of believing the accusations. Who's more believable? The man who's become a close friend to them, or some reactionary trolls harassing him and his friends (that he's grooming)?

Again, you are not a hero. You are desperate to feel cool by "dunking on" a child predator. And if you are a kid doing this, you are a target. Getting close is how you could get caught.
