Not sure if I can really call it digital minimalism since I feel like I have so many trinkets now, but I've really been trying to get off my phone lately, do all my screen time on the computer, and basically try to split things up more. I've had an MP3 player for a while now and loved it mostly for the storage and the fact I'm not streaming songs anymore but have gone a little farther.
Instead of the notes app, I have a tiny little notebook. Instead of relying on the iPhone camera I have a pretty cheap but fun digital camera. There's a little timer and a physical alarm clock on my bedside table so my phone isn't the first thing I see every day. Etc etc there's more but I don't wanna sound like I'm just advertising random shit. ALSO I got a library card!!! W
I'm just tired of being so absorbed in my phone and being less present irl. It's easy to just not notice it, but when you do, being reliant on it for everything AND constant entertainment sucks. I don't know if it's a good idea to constantly fill your boredom instead of just sit with it.
Another thing I like about this trend/movement is how you can change what you give up or add to fit your goals. My big motivator is privacy and being able to keep what's mine, not just stream it or pay an added fee for it.
