YOUNG JUSTICE, AND THE UNCANNY X-MEN

With that new Deadpool movie coming out a couple months ago, my friends and I decided to do an X-Men movie marathon so we could watch it together. Most of those movies I'd never seen before, and I was surprised by both their quality and extremely obvious messages. Themes in movies these days are so damn subtle and abstracted, but X-Men gets right to the point from scene one: this is a franchise about marginalized groups, LGBTQ people in-particular. Now, I don't care much for any sort of nerd war between Marvel and DC, but I viewed myself as having a slight slant towards DC because of the show Young Justice, which is a show about legacy and, similarly to X-Men, marginalized groups using super powers as an allegory.

Recently, I discovered that Young Justice is basically the only DC thing to do this? So I guess I like X-Men the best. Plus MvC2 is awesome.
