10 Megabytes is not enough.

Let me start my little rant by saying this thing annoys me to no end.

So, discord recently lowered their upload limit to 10 megs, and I feel like I should take that opportunity to explain why any platform similar to discord in functionality or size should not be doing that.

You see, I do a lot of creative work, and I work on a bunch of projects. 10MB is not enough to share any decent quality audio, even compressed MP3s often exceed 10 megs!

How do you want me to send you finished work on your discord server dedicated to working on your project when the best I can send you now is a compressed fucking charred corpse of what was once a high quality work of art, missing several limbs and some internal organs.

I swear you fuckers keep making everything harder just to get a few bucks and I genuinely, genuinely hate that. I hope you fuck up your IPO and your stocks plummet so we can finally have some goddamn competition again.

We owe you a slow clap guys. I hope karma bites your asses.

That being said, I hope you can now see why I think it's a terrible idea to do this on any platform that is remotely similar in size or function. Thank you.
