(To preface, I work with a group in this one class, and I am AFAB non-binary)
In class, I showed up a minute late, and see one of my fellow group members. I said,
"Hey man, what's going on?" (people were standing everywhere) and he glared at me, then goes,
"I don't know." and then I said,
"Oh, alright." a few minutes passed, and I noticed he was super quiet, so I went,
"Hey, is everything okay? Are you alright?" and he snaps
"I HAVE SEVERE SOCIAL ANXIETY. AND I CANNOT TALK TO PEOPLE AT ALL!" and so I went,
"Hey, I get it, I have it too." and he snapped again.
"NO YOU DON'T, YOU'RE JUST A GIRL! YOU DON'T GET IT! IN FACT, YOU ARE WHY IT IS SO BAD!"
And I was stunned into silence, and didn't say anything for the rest of class. I didn't even do anything to this dude, but he apparently just HATES me.

Shack Man
I mean I understand if he was in an incredibly uncomfortable situation but snapping at someone like that and making judgements based off face value appearances is incredibly rude and unfair. I'm sorry you had to deal with that

Honestly I was more shocked that he even said it
