SO! I was on TikTok, and saw LOTS of videos of a new singer for Linkin Park, Emily Armstrong. People loving her, hating here, all that.. I feel like talking about it now.
Being honest, I was never a mega-fan of Linkin Park, I love their music, but I could only name 3 songs off the top of my head.
Personally, I quite like her voice! The new song going around "The Emptiness Machine" honestly sounds great! I think they should keep making new music, her voice fits it really well. BUT! I do think they should stay away from the old songs. I saw videos of her singing songs such as "In The End" and "Numb", and don't get me wrong, she isn't TERRIBLE, but I feel like her voice just doesn't work well with those songs, but that's just me!
A lot people are VERY harsh on her, and hate her a lot singing the old songs. I feel like all the hate is very unwarranted. People keep saying she's "Replacing Chester", but no, she's really not! They're just keeping the band going, and I really like that. I can't wait till the full album releases, honestly. I quite like this lady.

I realize I'm 5 months late to this entry, but I like your take! Coming from someone who *is* obsessed with Linkin Park, I agree that the hatred of Emily is unfair and that she does have a good voice. Don't get me wrong, I was very against it at first [as many people were, but for me it was out of being apprehensive to change] but recently I've been giving "From Zero" a chance and honestly? Emily sounds great, and their new stuff is cool. Granted, I don't think it'll ever reach their best stuff as Chester gave those songs something that can't be replicated [I also agree that Emily doesn't match the vibe, but it's okay]. If you ever do decide to listen to more Linkin Park, you can't go wrong with their debut album "Hybrid Theory."

Yes, exactly. Honestly, I doubt I'll be listening to many new things, but she's not absolutely awful as many people are saying.
