Uncertain [a poem]

   I know you're afraid
   and the people in yours have come and gone
But will you take a chance with me?
   Time heals wounds to bring something new
Something you've never had before
   With feelings you've never felt
And if one person can change everything
   What will it take for you to believe?
A little bit of my time?
   A little of yours?
Nothing can always turn into something
   Like it always has
A seed is just a seed until we water it
   With love and care it grows
Over time you won't know fear
   Only what you now hold dear
We'll find that distance is nothing
   When we share the same soul
And one day all the doubts will seem silly
   When it all falls into place
If you hold on to hope
It will all be okay
I promise.
