deltaballet (AU edition)

okay sooo this is like my own original au. it's not inspired by dancetale, though it is very similar. (dancetale has always been my favourite undertale au). it is also not for undertale, but for deltarune!!

the main premise is that hometown has a ballet studio/company (uhh it has no name yet.. really loving ebott ballet theatre) and that's just the thing everyone does there, and then the dark world is kind of like their performances... i'm not sure how exactly to handle that part, the dark worlds happened but also didn't, and ralsei and all the darkners run around freely in the light world??? it doesn't make THAT much sense but it's called an AU for a reason lollll

i'm considering making it so that the little group project thing at the start of chapter 1 is essentially pas de deux partnering. for anyone thar doesn't know, a pas de deux is basically a partner dance with two people (a pas de trois is with three people, and the number is in french. pas de trois is a rarer term i've never  heard someone say pas de quatre??). idk i think it would be cute and makes sense for the au!!

i made a little list of character stuff here, if anyone wants to add anything, DO IT!! i'll probably update this as i think of more stuff <3 i will also explain stuff if you want

Kris
❤️ super good at piroutettes/fouettes/turns in general (like all humans are)

❤️ the pianist sometimes for toriel's baby class (ballet classes are supposed to have a live pianist!!!)

Susie
💜 no patience for pointe shoes so she just has black flats
💜 gladly beats up ralsei's pointe shoes for him (distresses him)
💜 eats rosin instead of chalk
💜 likes to jump and kick the crap out of things 
💜 and also lift people and then pretend to drop them
💜 giant pants
💜 if you guys know what the trash bag pants are you know what's up
💜 hides in the wings to scare people during rehersal

Ralsei
💚 PRODIGY CHILD. GOOD AT EVERYTHING. will probably be principal dancer like asriel used to be
💚 perfect.... turnout.....................!!!!!!!!
💚 bournonville trained 
💚 hot pink pointe shoes
💚 does not beat them up to break them in. he feels like he is hurting them so he doesn't do it

Noelle
💛 black pointe shoes but she decorates them with little bows and snowflake gems
💛 good at pas technique and lots of other stuff (hardworking)
💛 favourite ballet is the nutcracker
💛 was clara in that ballet for almost her whole life (dess was the sugar plum fairy)
💛 berdly's partner and does NOTTT LIKE HIM
💛 what if almost susie dropped ME on the floor and then caught me right before omg.....
💛 giant freaking skirt and legwarmers

Berdly
💙 super good at jumps and most other stuff
💙 goes first in line, stands in the middle for center
💙 remembers EVERY single barre combination
💙 noelle's partner just bc she's good 
💙 knows what every single word means in french
💙 protective of his barre spot

Lancer

🧩kinda sucks at EVERYTHING but.....
🧩 he is really good at sword fighting as well (in real life, if you are a male at new york city ballet, you take sword fighting lessons)
🧩teaches kris, susie, and lancer to use the sword. most chaotic thing ever. nothing ever gets done
🧩 challenged kris to a fouette competition and fell over after two

Queen
🌐 most flexible
🌐 prima ballerina behavior
🌐 goes through a pair of pointe shoes every class and makes rouxls pick it up
🌐 black pointe shoes and beats the crap out of them to break them in. cares not about them at all
🌐 super good at anything with leg work (grande allegro, grande battement, a la seconde turns, developpe, etc)
🌐 really wants to start her own company and teach there
🌐wants noelle to be in it. noelle does NOT want to.
🌐 used to be king's partner
🌐 teaches lancer sometimes. invites noelle to come. who does not

Annoying Dog
🦴choreographer, director, and the orchestral conductor
🦴 wears a big magenta tutu
🦴 temmie and him are best friends

Temmie
🖍️ costume designer and pointe shoe fitter
🖍️ i'm allowed to make temmie not be a dancer because in deltarune her partner is an egg and temmie the person draws and so therefore COSTUMES and in my mind temmie the temmie and temmie the person are like the same thing but not really so like
🖍️ has her own little shop in the theatre/studio with fabric and glitter
🖍️ went to colleg for costume design
🖍️ the egg sits in its own basket in the costume design room

Toriel
🥧 has been training and teaching kris and asriel since they were little
🥧 used to be a principal dancer, legendary ballerina
🥧 WAS asgore's dance partner
🥧 teaches the younger class
🥧 perfect turn out
🥧 in my mind she wears long flowy skirts and shawls
🥧 white pointe shoes

Asgore
💐was also a principal dancer and was legendary
💐 WAS toriel's dance partner
💐 provides all the bouquets given to the ballerinas at the end of the shows
💐 used to give them to toriel at the end of shows
💐 works on prop, background, stage design (building them and stuff)
