MLP g6 ideas

I've learned recently that My Little Pony Generation 5 is coming to an end, and I've also seen some leaked concepts (that have been scrapped? I think?) for a Sixth Generation. The concepts for Gen 6 looked nice, but the attention on the idea of another generation of MLP has sorta inspired me. What would I do for a MLP Gen 6?

So I'm gonna take a crack at it.

Note: I was introduced to My Little Pony with Friendship Is Magic (Generation 4), and I am less knowlegable on the previous generations. I had some toys and stuff back in the day of like... Gen 3.5 or whatever... but I actually watched episodes of MLP:FiM and followed the story and fanbase and stuff. I watched the G5 movie (and enjoyed it!!), but that's all I've seen from G5. Gonna do my best to do research and stuff if I find it necessary or helpful.

Setting:

• World size subject to change, but my initial thought is that it's somewhere in between the world of G4 and G5 (in terms of size, not like location or whatever)
  
• Main Place would be something more similar to G4's Environment/Ponyville
• Unicorns, Pegasi, and Earth Ponies will mostly live together like they did in G4. Also like G4 and G5, there will be some locations that cater more towards certain types of ponies. (Think something like G4's Cloudsdale, or Maretime Bay/Bridlewood/Zephyr Hights in G5)
  
• Minimal use of technology. For example: Telephones and computers, sure! Mobile phones and modern social media... Maybe not. 
• The Time setting should be sorta ambiguous. I don't want to immediately date the "show" with time-exclusive concepts and tools
• I think I want at Least the events of g4 to be canon to this generation, too. I've only seen the g5 movie so i don't have much to go off of to see if i want that to be canon too
• There should be in-universe holidays to mirror real-world ones!! I think that's really fun when shows do that sorta stuff. I know g4 has Hearts and Hooves Day and Hearthswarming and stuff, g5 has Winter Wishday or whatever, so g6 should have holidays and holiday "episodes," too.
• Earth Pony Magic is cool so we'll have that, too. I like how in g5 they actually Show what earth pony magic looks like as opposed to how g4 sorta Implied that earth ponies had their own specific skills.
  

Characters:

• Main cast of 5-6 main characters. Friendship is Magic really popularized the idea of a "mane six" in the fanbase, so if it ain't broke... 
  
• The main cast won't be based on the Elements of Harmony. They'll still like represent Traits of good friendship but I don't want to try to work around the elements, I'll leave that up to headcanon LMAO.
• I also don't want any of the main cast to be clones of a G4 Mane Six character. Similarities can be present, but I want them to be their own characters
• and NONE of them will become an alicorn at any point.
  
• Mixed-gender main cast. I like how they included Hitch in G5 so perhaps we can have a stallion or two in the group. for fun.
• Also I don't want them to be full adult-coded. The Mane Group should be like... Teenager coded at the oldest I think. 
• --> BUT not "teenager" in the sense that this would be like, "Pony High" or something. I know that kids shows set in high schools can be popular but I want this to hold onto the Normal MLP energy where they're just going about their normal life.
  
• I want cutie marks to make sense again.
• Also I want the naming conventions to go back to how they used to be. G5 really liked giving the characters almost Normal Human names and I don't think that should be especially common. like Izzy? Misty? PHYLLIS??? That's a person. Even Sunny and Hitch feel like they're cutting it close to me.
  
• Considering Cutie Marks and the teenager-coded Mane Cast, I think at least one of them should be a blank flank. Maybe even more than one and one of them can Stay a blank flank (because it's normal to not totally know where your life is going)
  
• Non-pony characters will be based on other mythological beasts, kinda like in g4. I think I've seen like catlike or some kinda mammal sort of creatures in pictures of one of the g5 series and idk if I'm a huge fan of that.
• 2D animation/art, bodies will be Similar but vary enough to create diversity among the cast.
• In a similar vein to the leaked G6 concepts, I'd like to draw influences from previous generations of MLP while conceptualizing the Mane Cast for my attempt.
  

Story:

• I've been struggling to come up with a story but here are some bits and pieces
  
• Each episode contributes to a scrapbook in a way similar to the letters to celestia but instead it's more visual and reflects on the moral learned from the episode.

Goal:

• I want the message to be like... Friendship is important and also how to be a good friend. How to learn from faults and mistakes. Emotional and Social education stuff without feeling like edutainment. So like, morals in some of the episodes while also keeping a slice-of-life feel I guess.
  
• Targeted towards the same sort of demographic as before, young kids but not Super young. Minimal Brony Fanservice. References to the previous generations are fine but I don't want it to cater to the Brony gaze.
