Is Cringe Really Dead?

You hear everywhere online how "cringe culture is dead!" or "cringe is free", but how true is that statement? People are still judged for their styles or interests, and I don't think that judgement can just go away so easily. Of course, it's impossible for everyone to agree on something, so the idea of that is ridiculous. So why do people say that?

Maybe because of the resurgence of these "cringe" things in our past. A certain nostalgia causing a new trendiness to past embarrassment. But this does not apply to all things of the past. Many things are still deemed "cringe", even by people who say that it "is dead". With this in mind, a conclusion could be that it's not that "cringe" is dead, just what people think as "cringe" has changed.

So, now what? Should You throw out the studded belts? Does this mean that you have to be a normie and shop at abercrombie? No! Even though cringe culture is still kicking after all this time, you shouldn't feel like you have to quit doing what you like. Instead of worrying about what others think, worry about how you think. Do you find yourself wondering "wow, I probably look so stupid in this." NO! Stop it right now! Kill that inner critic with bright clothes or cute bows or black lace, whatever you're into! We may not kill cringe culture as a whole, but making sure the the part of you that cringes is dead is the best we can do! So go out and do what makes you smile!

That's all from me! Thanks for reading my first blog post!

XOXO, BIA

Ngl I feel like people don't care about something "cringe" but only until it's something they like
