Hallo and nice to meet you too! I actually did not know my profile picture was from a book cover o(*°▽°*)o.
Learning Swedish is mandatory in my home country (Finland) since it is the official second language. Though only a few can actually speak more than a couple sentences in Swedish
ԅ(¯﹃¯ԅ), so I guess I am a little better than the average Finn
(but that is not much (#｀-_ゝ-)).
I started studying German about 3 years ago. We were choosing optional subjects to learn and my original plan was to start learning Russian but there weren't enough participants to start a class so I switched to German. I was surprisingly good at it at the start so I decided to continue. I think German is a beautiful language and not even that aggressive as some seem to think. Now there has been a long period where I haven't been studying properly so I have forgotten some things (ˉ▽ˉ；)... but now that courses have started again I will get back on track and keep studying hard so I can visit Germany some day and maybe not embarrass myself with my broken German ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ.

That's very cool to know you are from Finland! Where I live, we have a high amount of Finnish immigrants here^^ I didn't know Swedish was the second language in Finland! That's really cool! I wish you luck in learning the language!
Also wow that's very nice! Well you made a good decision picking German class too. Russian is a beautiful language indeed but it's nice to learn German too. German is nice because it's considerably easier than Russian, at least to an English speaker, German is lvl 2 difficulty, Russian is amongst one of the most difficult. :0 German is a beautiful language, I am glad you see it as not as aggressive as people say, for me, it makes me feel at home, reminds me of the holiday season with my grandparents. Keep studying and following your dreams! I wish to also travel to Germany someday as well! Do you have an ideal place you want to visit in Germany? I am wanting to go to the Oktoberfest in Berlin when I have saved enough^^

Oh there are so many places to visit (☆▽☆)! I’d love to see all the old churches and other old buildings. They are so beautiful! I've heard there’s a How To Train Your Dragon theme park in Soltau that I definitely want to go to. There’s also the famous Christmas market that looks very lovely but I fear everything sold there must be very expensive 〒▽〒.

Awwe very nice, I love the old churches, the architecture is always so beautiful. My friend also is a big fan of how to train your dragon, I had no idea there was a theme park for it, that's very cool to know! The Christmas Markets sound very fun too, it may be expensive sometimes but I think regarding there will probably be a lot of stands, there should also be some inexpensive things too. I hope you can achieve your dreams by going to these places someday!^^
