HOLY CRAP!!!!! IT WAS AMAZING!!! my neck still hurts from headbanging💀
All That Remains: ok now i had never heard of them before this tour so i didn’t really know what to expect but tbh they were pretty good and i say that as not being a fan of prog metal and metalcore! their preformance was super good and i thought the drummer was really good! i headbanged to some of their songs and recorded like 2 of them!
Mudvanyne: so i knew mudvayne obv but the only song i knew by them was Dig so i really couldn’t sing along to the other songs they played so i just headbanged instead! their makeup n stuff was killer i really liked it!
their bassist, Ryan Martinie, was insane he was so good and so was their guitarist ( i really liked his makeup)! Chad Gray was super good tho like idk how some of these vocalists do it but itz insanely impressive!! at one point he was talking about all the metal kids there, how he got into metal from mötley crüe when he was a kid, and his life n stuff! he seemed like a cool dude! again i really liked their drummer! me and my dad lost it when Dig came on cuz he loves that song and it was one of the first heavy metal songs i heard! their performance was super cool and the lights n stuff they had looked super sick!!
Megadeth: i can not put into words how great their show was!! let me set the scene:
mudvayne had finished almost 30 minutes ago so it was dark outside. at first, all you could see were lights from people’s phones and the miscellaneous lights from buildings and all u could hear was the crowd of people talking and cheering. the stage was dark aswell, nothing was visible. then a guy in a plague doctor costume came out pushing a wheelbarrow with a body inside, "bring out the dead!" he kept saying. it was quiet, then you start to hear guitars coming from the abyss that was the stage. soon a small light came on and soon after the black curtain dropped, revealing the tour picture of Vic Rattlehead with Megadeth above him, and the moment it hit the stage floor the place was flooded by flashing colored spotlight and the crowd erupted into cheers!!
the first song they played was "The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!" and i had only heard that song once before then (the first time being earlier that day)!! all but one of the songs they played i hadn’t heard and i knew the words to most of them but 2 of them (dread of the fugitive mind and trust) i had only listened to earlier that day💀
they played the conjuring which i was NOT expecting but was really happy they did! some other unexpected songs were washington is next and mechanix!
(beautiful angelic pic i took of Dave Mustaine X3)
Hangar 18: this performance was sick!! the spotlights and stage lights they had were super cool!! i knew most of the words lol and the guitar solo sounded so sick in person!!
Sweating Bullets: a girl behind me screamed when they started playing the guitars and that’s when i realized what song it was. the whole arena started clapping to the first chords, then singing it and it felt so amazing!! (that song performance was also super sick!)
Tornado of Souls: they had just finished a song so the place was kinda quiet for a bit until dave mustaine came up to the mic and said "how bout a little rust in peace?" and the whole place started screaming and cheering! the crowd did the chorus so i was singing and headbanging the whole time until the guitar solo were i literally stood completely still and just admired it as if it were the national anthem (ngl i almost cried it felt so surreal to hear that song in person! Teemu Mäntysaari is an amazing guitarist!!! )
Symphony of Destruction: my dad had been sitting for the some songs but as soon as they played the "silence!" part, he literally stood up like the grandpa from charlie and the chocolate factory! that song was awesome as well! again, the whole place was cheering and singing along, i was too as well as headbanging most of the song lol!
Peace Sells: was their last song (or so we thought) and when James LoMenzo played those first chords on the bass the whole place was clapping to it and just cheering! during that song Vic Rattlehead came out on stage and was goofing with the band, it was great! the lights were awesome too!! the preformance overall was great! again, dave let the crowd do the chorus
(pic i took of Vic and Teemu during this song :3)
Holy Wars…The Punishment Due: so i thought the show had ended cuz the band had done their bows and the stage went dark. i was a little bummed they ended it without playing holy wars, wake up dead, or devil’s island but then i started hearing people chanting "wake up dead!" so i did too. mind you there was a fog machine going so the whole place was looking hazy. then dave mustaine walks out on the stage now with a green guitar! the fog was beginning to clear a bit and then i noticed Dirk Verbeuren behind the drum kit. dave bowed again and people were cheering. he lifted his arms in the air and the crowd cheered louder! he put his arms down and the place was silent. then, he spoke into the mic "holy wars" and the arena just lost it! i screamed as loud as i could and started jumping up and down cuz this was the song i was most excited to see live! i headbanged so hard and sung as loud as i could! their whole show was just super sick!! the band all sounded amazing!!!
guess who my favorite band is
