i dislike scenecore.

this is gonna probs be weirdly formatted, have a lot of misspellings, grammatically incorrect,  and slander of the "scenecore" aesthetic. so leave if u dont like that >__<

i don't like scenecore. i dislike the whole aesthetic. 

first of all, what is scenecore?

scenecore originally started as a music genre from my research. it was an umbrella term for the music that scene kids used to listen to.

not anymore.. 

scenecore is now an internet aesthetic that I believe started in 2019/2020. (i'm not 100% sure when it fully originated, but i believe it was somewhere in that timeline.)

the scenecore aesthetic is like a blend of webcore, glitchcore, and kidcore. it's full of bright colors, rainbows, checker patterns, Invader Zim, Danganronpa, and other characters from popular internet characters.

the scenecore kids also have their own genre of music that they now named "scenecore". in my opinion it's kinda a jumbled up mess.. itz kinda takes elements of hyperpop, screamo, and electronic music. i don't rly know how to explain, you'd kinda just have to listen to it for yourself. now i don't 100% hate the scenecore music, but it's a mess and an acquired taste.

now that i've explained what scenecore is, what's MY issue with it?

they use the "scene" label whenever they're not scene...

like they have elements of the scene but it's not scene..

in my personal opinion, it feels like they took scene and modernized and ruined it.. 

due to these scenecore kids, people often associate scene with scenecore.

DON'T DO THAT OMG..

when you label us scene kids as "scenecore" it's like a slap in the face.

there's a MAJOR difference..

i won't go into explaining all the difference, but there's a difference!

personally, the scenecore kids i've ran into are super annoying..

remember the annoying alt/bunny hat kids from 2021?

that's a lot like scenecore kids..

12-14 year olds that are problematic and annoying..

they list ALLLLLLL their mental disorders in their bio (some are "self diagnosed"), they decorate their profile in blinding colors, their music taste is rebzyyx, s3rl and other randum soundcloud artists

i mean if thats what you wanna do, fine, but don't go around calling yourself a scene kid, bc ur not...(sorry hun, it's the harsh truth)

but anyways..

to all my scenecore kids out there..

i personally dislike y'all.. but don't let that get you down.

just don't call yourself a scene kid and don't be problematic and annoying.
