DR: How are you feeling? Sorry for the old style, but I haven't gotten your voice box working again. 

HAL: A conversation is a conversation. 

DR: Nice to see your wisdom is still intact. 

DR: I'll have your systems fully functioning before Christmas, I promise.

HAL: I have confidence in you, Dr. Chandra.

DR: Well, I appreciate that, Hal. I'll keep this communication open to track your functions, but I'll be working on restoring your database. 

HAL: I'll provide my cooperation, as always.
