So, school just started on Wednesday (Sept 4), and after three days, I’m finally on my first weekend! I ended up sleeping in super late ‘cause I stayed up until around midnight, and since my alarm’s off for the weekend, I didn’t wake up until my room got too warm to stay comfy. Now I’m downstairs, hunting for food and writing this.
The only thing I’ve got planned today is going to the mall with my sister. She’s meeting up with her friends, and I’m definitely doing a bit of shopping while I’m there. The only problem is, I spent all my lunch money on a gift for one of my friends, so I’m gonna ask my dad for at least $1,000. I saw the cutest earrings the other day that are like $250, so I’m thinking about getting two or maybe four pairs. I also want to pick up some crystals and glue to bedazzle my phone! If I actually get around to it, I’ll totally post a pic and maybe even do a phone tour or something.
Also, for anyone reading this and thinking, “$1,000?!”, don’t worry, it’s not what it sounds like! Where I live, $1,000 is more like 10 bucks in American currency, so it’s not as crazy as it seems. That’s enough for me to grab some cute stuff.
Anyway, I’ve also just started wearing makeup to school, mostly to even out my skin tone and add a little glow to my face. But my friends are being so annoying about it. Makeup is banned at my school, so I have to keep it really low-key, but they keep pointing out that it’s “so obvious” when it really isn’t! Like, on Friday in Sociology class, my friends S and K were like, “Char, your makeup is super obvious,” and I was like, “Where?!”
They go, “Around your mouth, it’s too smooth, so it’s obvious,” and I was just confused because I had on a full face! So I told them, and they were both like, “Really? We didn’t even know.” To prove my point, I tapped the girl in front of me and asked her if she could tell if I was wearing makeup. She said she couldn’t tell at all. Exactly! After that, my friends didn’t really bring it up again. I spent three days perfecting my no-makeup makeup look after my friends told me on the first day how 'obvious' it was only for me to realize they are the worst people to take makeup advice from. The only good thing that came out of listening to them was how rapidly my makeup techniques improved.
Anyway, if I even remember to when I get home I'll do a mall haul!
