I’m writing this blog for anyone who is struggling. If you've ever thought about suicide, have attempted it, or are thinking about it now, please don’t go through with it. I’m so grateful that I didn’t lose my life in the past four years. Even when everything seemed hopeless, things eventually turned out fine. Whatever you're facing, it will get better, I promise. Your presence here will have an impact on many lives, in ways big and small.
My parents weren’t supportive, and my sister also tried to take her own life, but thankfully, she survived. I’m so glad she did because if she hadn’t, I would still be suffering with my parents. More importantly, no one would have known how incredible she truly is. Her friends wouldn’t have received her valuable advice, and she wouldn’t have made the positive difference she has. In the same way that my sister is important to me, you are important to someone else—whether it’s your family, friends, or even people you haven’t met yet. It’s always worth it to keep fighting.
I know it’s tough sometimes. Things might seem like they’re going well, only to fall apart suddenly. But that’s part of healing, and it’s part of life. I realize this message might not reach many people, but if it helps even one person, that’s enough. And if it doesn’t, that’s okay too. Try calling a friend and spending some time together. There are always people who look up to you—maybe it’s your sibling, classmates, or even a random kid on the street. Knowing that can be comforting.
If you ever want to talk to someone, you can always reach out to me by leaving a comment. If you need something else, you can call a helpline, talk with your parents, or speak to a teacher. I promise you, it will get better. Sometimes it takes a while, but it will 100% get better. You are loved. <3
