Interests

My primary interest is linguistics! I'm particularly focused on language learning, but I do also enjoy discussing the broader field. I'm more interested in the technical aspects of linguistics— so not sociolinguistics or anything. 

Here are the languages I speak and what level I estimate myself to be:

English: L1
Español: C1

Français: B2 

日本語: N4

Português: N/A
Deutsch: A1~A2
עברית: A1

Naturally, progress is slow due to the amount of languages I've undertaken (as well as a lack of motivation to study over the years!) But I would love to speak any of these languages if anyone is interested.

As of late I've also developed a nascent interest in Canada! I'm currently almost all the way through Canadian History for Dummies (I recommend) and I hope to learn much more about the country! This intersects with my linguistics interest as well specifically in matters of Canadian Francophony! I may choose to blog about whatever I learn/read about so that I can revisit my progress and share facts with others interested ^-^

My last main interest is in Judaism! I am hoping to convert and join a Reform congregation in the future, but for now I'm still learning! If you'd like to talk to me about any topics relating to Judaism or other Jewish topics I'd love that! There's still a lot I may not know though, so keep that in mind.

I also like to collect books based on my interests! I don't do it often because I'm broke, but I have a nice little collection going! I hope to expand it in the future, too.
