With the return of 2000's rock and metal legends Linkin Park - who disbanded after the passing of the late Chester Bennington - comes a new singer, and chosen was Dead Sara's Emily Armstrong. Their new single THE EMPTINESS MACHINE linked below was released yesterday and album FROM ZERO is set to be released in November, with tour dates popping up.
This was controversial for a few reasons.
1) because the legacy that Chester Bennington left behind was so influential, his shoes were practically impossible to fill. The backlash that she received has been intense. Many people felt let down by the choice, although others like the new sound.
2) Armstrong appears to have connections to the Church of Scientology and abuser Danny Masterson who held strong beliefs in Scientology. Online she was blasted for still following him, with accusations being thrown around that she and Masterson were close, and even that she was present during trial.
Additionally, Colin Brittain will play drums, taking the place of former drummer Rob Bourdon, and a guitar tech is temporarily filling in for guitarist Brad Nelson.
How do you feel about the choice? Who would you have chosen?

i honestly feel like they should've just pulled a foo fighters and started a new band, although i understand them feeling attached to the linkin park brand, both from an emotional and marketing standpoint.just hope emily can clear up the accusations.

As a long time fan I honestly feel like it could just be a new project. One More Light felt like an amazing closer to very beautiful and varied discography.
Tho I can't say that I'm not excited for the future, just the entire rapist apologist and scientology situation HAS TO be brought up and made clear by Emily
