Florida is a liminal space.

As a born and raised Floridian I say that at least some parts of Florida are very liminal and here's why... oppressive geography, horrible weather almost year-round, low islands, and very flat and at times very strange and unnerving... those things tend to make up the thing we call a "liminal space" and I am somewhat convinced as a born and bred Floridian that at least some parts of my home state are textbook liminal spaces.
