I have been using an Apple Watch for 2.5 years now. I started out with the Series 9 and now I am using the Ultra 2. I know it is important for an office worker to wear a high brand watch as a symbol of wealth, but I just couldn't imagine myself using a watch that I cherish so much.A smartwatch seemed much more appealing to me, so I decided to purchase one.
Exercise Measurement
I bought this watch mainly for the purpose of measuring my exercise, and it suits my personality because I can easily record my exercise such as cycling, walking, swimming, mountain climbing, and so on. I noticed after a while that I could also link it to Strava, and Garmin Watch was also on my list, but there are too many different series of watches for different sports, and it is difficult to operate them because of the detailed settings.
Battery life
When viewed as a gadget, the price is high enough to be comparable to the iPhone SE series, but as a watch, it is very inexpensive. The battery life is too low when viewed as a smartwatch. While using the Series 9, I once forgot to charge it and the battery ran out in the afternoon the next day. Now I've gotten into the habit of charging it when I take it off to take a bath, and with Ultra it always lasts 2 days, so I don't mind the poor battery life anymore.
Other Apps
One of the reasons why the Apple Watch is so expensive is that it can be used with a variety of apps, but I don't think I'm getting much use out of it. I have set up the contactless payment function on my iPhone, even though I can use it. I remember that I did this because I never carry my iPhone with me even when I remove my Apple Watch, but I will try to improve this situation in the near future.
Aside from the watch and contactless payment functions, I use Apple Watch for measuring my exercise, alarm, stopwatch, weather, and so on. I also use it occasionally for favorite photos, pulse, and receiving phone calls. I might even use it to measure when I've had a cup of coffee with a medication log.
