recommendations w piercings & advice!!

Okay so, I don't know how many piercings the reader has but i have 6.

2 on each ear, a septum & eyebrow, but before i had a nose stud 2 seperate times but when i got my septum i thought too much jewlery on my face was excessive (my preference) but im getting 3rd ear holes soon and maybe a double helix!!

With all my holes out of the way lol, if anybody is thinking about specific piercings let me know!! My eyebrow didn't hurt at all, infact they had to tell me when they were done. I didn't feel it (but I also think they pierced through nerveless scar tissue, when i was like 7 a fan fell on me while i was sleeping and i had to get stitches lol) so yea i didnt feel it. My septum hurt a little bit but the cartilage dosent hurt at all if anything a tiny pinch. My nose stud on the other hand hurt like a bitch!!!!!! BOTH TIMES. i got all teary but thats normal for a stud piercing because of all the nerves on your nostril. BEWARE when you get an eyebrow piercing you'll want a longer bar until it heals enough to get a smaller one, AND you'll get bruising on your eyelid/surrounding eyebrow area for a few days - it goes away theres nothing to panic about.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T GO TO AN UNPROFFESIONAL PLACE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

or somewhere that isnt their specialty for piercings. tattoo parlors are okay as long as theres a qualified piercer who passed their permit stuff. but these people will fuck you up bad if you arent careful who you choose to pierce you and ive seen it happen.

out of all the piercings ive seen, heard from piercers, and seen from friends, i recommend the septum the most only because you can flip it up when you dont like it anymore or put a retainer. Also probably the eyebrow, mine never got infected or had a keloid once and it makes some people look really good or stand out. Anti eyebrow is nice too but id be paranoid about it getting yanked off changing a shirt or sleeping. Personally im thinking about a conch on both sides because they help with headaches oddly enough.

I went to claires for my first set of ear piercings in like 8th grade and they fucked my left up, i remember the mf that did it too smh. how do you miss a huge sharpie dot on my ear? its right there???

thats another thing, DONT EVER USE A PIERCING GUN, they work sometimes but other times they don't and you don't want to be the person on the other end of one when it doesn't

ALSO! For certain piercings, specific spray disinfectant's are bad!!! thats why a lot of people get rejections or keloids within the first weeks of their piercings (or bad care) when i first started out i used a saline wash that piercers recommended but things started getting infected and i got freaked out. USE A SEASALT SPRAY!!! Im not sure of specific companies, i have a huge can that i bought when i got my second nose stud and it's lasted this whole time. Mainly because I don't wash my piercings too often, most of them are healed now so I dont have to frequently, usually when one gets crusty or smelly.

Ive been told i love pain and that im a masochist because of mine, which is somewhat true and untrue lol, i just love accessories.. wheres the harm in that??? tattoos on the other hand... thats another blog post

feel free to put little tips or reccomendations below i love feedback just dont be a dick.

Piercing guns aren't the devil (contrary to popular belief). I've personally had 4 sets of ear piercings and my right nostril done via piercing gun and they all turned out just fine, no complications whatsoever.

I'm speaking anecdotally, of course. But even still, I hate it when people online seem to think piercing guns are so ''bad'' when my own experiences (as well as experiences from people I know in real life) say otherwise.

Maybe it depends on your luck or maybe it's simply the person performing the piercings as well as how often you're cleaning them during the first few weeks, I don't know. This is just me giving my opinion as a girl with 14 piercings and counting.

Yess DO NOT USE A PIERCING GUN!!! I got my ears peirced with a gun back in primary school and they both got infected... we had to practically repierce them with the earrings every night for about a week, it was torture ( ´゚д゚) please go to a professional that uses needles !
