My controversial take on plushie dreadfuls

Okay so i know i will probably get dts over this but i cant stand them. i used to think they were a cute concept until i started noticing that they only pick out things about illnesses that they can use to make it 'edgy' or something. when it comes to a LOT of the disability and mental illness plushies i see what they're going for by taking something and acknowledging some of the 'hard to look at' parts but given the way they treat a lot of other illness representation, it is definitely in poor, capitalist cash grabbing taste. for example the ehlers danlos bunny (im personally annoyed about this one because ive suspected having ehlers danlos since i was 11 and it has made my life a living hell, especially now that it has 'tiktok awareness' attached to it.) it pisses me off because they intentionally released it around the same time as the fnaf movie, and you can barely even tell what disability it is for. some of the other ones you can tell, and a lot of the others you also cant! it's so frustrating because why did they feel the need to just make it look like the puppet? they even put out a public statement saying that they did an internal poll within their company of people who have ehlers danlos (which im not even gonna get into how blatant of a lie that is.) and how that somehow justified the lazy and problematic design choices. woo fucking hoo you made the legs and ears stretch, you are so creative. they don't even include a ribbon, an embroidered zebra, nothing other than blue circles under the eyes (which, is also false because eds patients tend to have more of a purple under eye color) and make it black and white. not even zebra print. it was obvious that they were trying to make it marketable. i feel like they put so much emphasis on symptoms of disorders that DIRECTLY have caused disorders and the people that have them to be ostracized and stereotyped for years and years. like oh i'm so sorry that i might think it's a little bit in bad taste to make a tasteless cash grab of a bunny who's covered in simulated cvts. the autism bunny wouldn't even be in bad taste if most their other designs weren't but it's so obvious that they just don't even think before they make a design, and they just slap their little stereotypes on them. i understand reclaiming these things and im all for it, i mean, negative stereotypes and negative or hard to look at symptoms SHOULD be talked about but this really is just not the way to do it and i feel like it does a shitload of harm, especially considering that literally everyone i've ever met who d-rides plushie dreadfuls uses it as an excuse to glorify their unhealthy coping mechanisms and unhealthy symptoms that they should be trying hard to be accountable for, and not, like, you know, make excuses for. idk, i could go on and on and on about everything i fucking HATE about every single design they make but it would never be enough time. always a hater. fuck capitalists who prey on people w disabilities. you should me ashamed if u defend them bc they make way too much money directly harming and disrespecting people as well as perpetuating negative stereotypes under the mask of 'inclusivity' or 'awareness' bc the only thing i feel included in is being aware that ur fucking disgusting
