I really was going to make a review on how i loved it when i heard about it, i put off watching it but finally did 2 days ago (finished all the episodes in a day sob) and uhmm.... its not ok.
Firstly, them not even telling them they will be in a survival competition is sick to me, since they were all so close to eachother and now they had to fight to debut. also the fact the girl leading it was like "oh we know it will truamatize them and hurt them but viewers love drama!!" yeah and those viewers are weird asf to love seeing girls in heartbreak, pushing themselves, etc. im actually happy lexie left for her mental health. she was aware of what was happening and how it wasnt ok. I love katseye but i feel so bad for the girls and what they went through. also (not sure im spelling her name right) Adela got dropped for what? she was a great dancer AND singer, literally the whole package.
And im not going to talk about the whole "manon thing" because her and the members literally made up in the same episode LOL. the only thing i will say about manon is yes she was slacking at first and was aware of that, but she then worked super hard and turned into a great dancer and singer, really fast too. so i think she DOES deserve to be in the group.
I do wish (again prob spelling the name wrong) nayeong debut, but i hope she becomes solo to!! she sounded really good as a soloist and she dances well, also shes super sweet to everyone she was just a great girl.
I have nothing else to say except i was pretty dissapointed in this documentary. This is like another wound in hybe.
comment what you want the next blog to be about!!

An
the amnt of ppl i see defending the show producers is so sick.. and it like rlly concerns me bc so many kpop fans just get Too Comfortable with industry problems TT katseye is one of the first trainee developed western groups nd its scary to think that this kind of mistreatment could become standard from the start

this. i also noticed how fans got mad when they made newjeans members dance in high heels (which like yes ew wtf they deserve to be mad) but im also pretty sure they made minors in the documentary dance in heels? im not sure if it was the minor girls but i thought i saw yoonchae or they were talking abt letting yoonchae which really disgusted me. if im remembering wrong then thats mb sob

now i havent watched it (and probably wont) but it honestly just seems like such a mess from everything ive seen about it. it also seems to have caused quite a few arguments and almost restarted some fan wars (dont know if thats quite the right word but whatever) from the dream academy days that had already died down as they usually do after survival shows end.

yeah it genuinely started a hate train for either people who were close to winning or the group members. its so sad to see :(

i feel like a similar thing happened with le sserafims second documentary. the hate towards them had finally started to die down then they released the documentary and a lot of people saw that as them trying to garner sympathy for the girls or whatever and started hating them more, especially sakura. now i havent watched that one either but from what ive seen sakura said something about not being confident with her abilities as an idol and people took that and RAN with it.

yeah i saw that clip and i felt so bad for her, i cant believe people are hating on her because of that. some kpop fans are just being extra and hating for no reason.
