doom + doom 2

heyo! ry again!

so: for those uninformed, I am a HUGE DOOM fan. I've always wanted a way to play a definitive version of DOOM, with official classic style death match available and supported officially. and, for a while, the only way I could do it on console without much hassle was the really butt Xbox 360 port, which is delisted and I can't even buy. so, I didn't have much of an option to play online besides PC and even then it was a big hassle even if it was Zandronum, and yada yada yada.. you get the point. however, during August, a port known as DOOM + DOOM II got released as it was revealed at Quakecon 2024. I didn't know it at the time, but when I learned it had ONLINE deathmatch, online 16 player co-op, voice chat, AND was crossplatform? dude. I fucking LOST my MIND. I was like hyperventilating and going fucking NUTS because jesus christ I was SOOOO excited. literally first thing I did was install it when I could, then booted it up.

IT HAD THE IDKFA SOUNDTRACK FINISHED BY ANDREW HULSHULT. AND A BRAND NEW EPISODE. AND A OFFICIAL MOD BROWSER. I went FUCKING BALLISTIC. literally biggest autism rush you will ever see in your entire life. I've been playing it constantly and have not been able to stop playing it. I have literally every DOOM game on Switch AND Xbox. I love this series so much and I can't understate how important this release was. So many cool options, AND I played it with 3 other buddies in co-op the SAME NIGHT. Literally the best night to ever happen.

shoutouts to my buddy phntm0mega for paying 10 bucks on the PS Store to play with me. he is the realest mf to EVER exist. I love dat guy. this is probably it for the post and I wish I had more to post about but unfortunately? I really don't. life has been kinda busy but I'll update my blog with an extra Hi-Fi RUSH obligatory post soon enough.
