Hey I'm new to spacehey, saw it on Threads, thought it was a great concept.
But less than a few hours of use I'm starting to get the impression most people on here are kids?

absolutely. I've found a couple of people 18+ but a good majority of my friend requests are anyone 12-14. had soemone openly admit they were 11 on here... cant blame them though, the internet has nothing for kids anymore and it's mostly social based. any kids games still around are poorly moderate and crawling with creeps.
I usually just decline the frqs and move on, let them have their fun ig. cant say it doesnt scare the shit out of me knowing what kind of stuff can be on here. but yeah a good chunk of the spacehey userbase is kids or young teens, the tiktokification of scene can be thanked for that

There's a... Concerning... Amount of kids on the internet.
Having found it myself that way there's probably a lot of traffic coming here from people posting about the platform on Twitter, and with how big Y2K and the maaaaaaany adjacent aesthetics and fashions have become in teen circles over the past year or so, I can see how a lot of kids can siphon through to here.
I'd be lying if I said it didn't concern me a little, but ultimately I'll just try to let them do their thing, avoid interaction, and be helpful where I can be so they can learn how to use the website (and maybe a thing or two about how to stay safe on the web on the side... A lot of especially young people have become way too comfortable with sharing personal things with the public internet...)
