Ive held off joining this platform because i originally viewed it as something too niche for me to regularly use, though after seeing the site hit a million users i thought why not, the profile customization options are a pretty big appeal (though damn css can be fiddly) and i seem to be getting friend requests like frequent, which is pretty cool it gives me hope that im not gonna put effort into this only to feel as if im talking to a wall. If you have sent a friend request rest assured i am not ignoring your existence, just tryna figure out how i perceive that metric or whatever.
If youve even read this at all thank you :) check out my music or something, particularly my main project at the time of writing this, thanks for the flowers, i do like shoegaze emo stuff on there, some of you might find that cool perhaps, and if you wanna chat send a message on here, id love to have some conversations with some of you.

i checked out your bandcamp, big fan of the sound. my favourite so far is probably summer sunset, but i haven't spent too much time with the whole album
i'd love to hear more about your process, as someone trying to go from random riffs and ideas to full recordings

Thanks!! Summer Sunset deffo has one of my fav riffs on the album, was honestly just noodling too iirc
As far as process goes, for this i just sort of came up with stuff as i went along, recorded in the main riff and put together some sort of arrangement, i probably started with the guitar, then drums then bass, drums are quite helpful for figuring out an arrangement ive found as they outline different sections very well (ofc with drums in that album being midi its quite easy to view it in like, blocks, etc), i dont think i went about it that way in terms of basing the arrangement off of drums but thats something you could try. Honestly just noodle, the wonderful thing about DAWs etc is that you can work in a non linear fashion and figure things out as you go.
