honeydew resort coffee from undertale yellow (recipe and review!!!)

woahhh i made two blog posts in two days!! that's CRAZY!!!

okay anyways!! I have a lot of studying I plan to get done today and so I like making a fun drink to have while I do. Normally I make like a peppermint iced coffee and put whipped cream and some green and red sprinkles, but today I MADE A HOT COFFEE..... XD which I never do.

I was thinking about Undertale Yellow and I remembered that there's an item called the  Honeydew Coffee (shortened to Hndw Coffee.)

Unlike most consumable items, this one gets more of a description. When you talk to the Honeydew Resort Shopkeeper, she says that the monsters like this the most, and the info/check text from the menu says that it's VERY hot. In fact, if you use it, the game tells you that Clover's tastebuds burn off....

SO FROM THIS DIALOGUE, and observing the background, we know a few things about it:

💛 made of coffee, honey, and hazelnut creamer

💛SUPER HOT

💛comes in a to-go cup

💛is (probably) a latte (i think she's fibbing because the cofee machine in thebackground is a drip coffee maker but maybe it's just offscreen)

okay!!! now it's time TO MAKE IT!!!

RECIPE

🧸 6 oz of milk

🧸 4 oz coffee

🧸 1 oz cream + hazelnut syrup OR hazelnut creamer

🧸 honey (to taste)

so the recipe i found for making a latte had 2 ounces of coffee to 6 ounces of milk, but I adjusted that ratio... I also didn't put it in a to-go cup, I put it in this little mug with snowmen on it !!!!!

Okay, brew your coffee.. I used a light roast so the drink would taste not as bitter. I made 4 ounces and then I put the milk in the microwave for about a minute? While it was in there, I put a lot of honey in the coffee. Idk how much??? Just enough to taste it or make it sweet??? I couldn't tell you besides saying I PUT SOME in there. EDIT: make sure you fully mix the honey in until it is dissolved, while the coffee is hot, because otherwise it just pools at the bottom!! then you get jumpscared by something so sweet it gives you CAVITIES after like two seconds of drinking.. you can give it to your chocolate obsessed friends if you want.. maybe they like overly sweet food...!!

After the milk was done heating I used this like frother thing to make it SUPER FOAMY... and then poured it softly over the coffee. Then, I put five pumps of hazelnut syrup in a cup and about an ounce of cream and mixed that together with the frother.. then dumped that in the mug. Then I heated it up in the microwave again to make it warm (I'm sorry I would have tried to make it hot but i CANNOT do hot food IM SORRYYY). Then I stirred it together some more, and the foam actually remained!

I really wanted to make a little bear face out of the foam, or use cinnamon or chocolate... I think that would have really pulled it together, I can TOTALLY see the Honeydew Resort doing that, especially if they had little mugs on saucers for people who didn't want a to-go cup.

MOMENT OF TRUTH.....

okay I tasted it.

It was REALLY GOOD !!! IT WAS VERY SWEET but it still tasted like coffee, and hazelnut, not so much honey, though.. maybe I need honey flavouring. The foam was honestly one of my favourite parts and I actually liked it warm :0 a MIRACLE

I would not make a special trip to the Honeydew Resort just for it, but if I was ever passing through I would stop to get one. 

If you like sweet coffee DEFINITELY TRY THIS............. 7.5/10!!!!
