This site is quite interesting

I've always been curious about how something like MySpace worked in general, cant be very sure but I suppose this is kinda like it? Im very much late gen z so I couldnt get into it before it was gone, using this site feels like getting a little glimpsy into the past even if it has more modern elements.

Something that stands out to me (ignoring the more obvious "different from other social media" stuff) is that it actually feels social instead of being a dopamine farm machine. Always heard about how much distorted social media became as a way to make people get into the algorithm more, which very much made sense to me, but I could never interact with any older site to sense this difference in a more personal level. Now that I have access to a site that at the very least simulates how old internet used to go, I cant help but prefer it.

I love how much personality every individual profile can have. Even if the layout is "stolen" from other users what you choose is so personal to you and feels so special. There's groups that you can join and so many people you can meet by actually interacting in some sense, its something that feels fresh.

Only downside that I can see is how hard doing your layouts can be if you dont know shit about coding. I usually have it all chewed up and spit on my plate so Im just fucking around and figuring it out till shit looks pretty enough. I actually like shit like that but it might be a turndown for some so it would be cool to have a more user friendly option (making indie sites is very hard, having no options like that is very much understandable so I get it)
