star wars prequels!!

i just got back from seeing attack of the clones at the cinema (i saw phantom menace last week!!) and i have thoughts...

i think the prequels are definitely overhated. i actually really like the phantom menace (i think darth maul is really scary LOL) it was a genuinely good film!!!! i think attack of the clones was.... worse. i HATE anakin and padme's plot and i know their relationship is necessary for star wars lore, i don't hate the relationship itself but anakin was just SO. CRINGEY. and lowkey creepy!!! i thought it was jarring how he acted and honestly i'm not the biggest fan of hayden christensen's acting (i don't think it's bad but i'm just not super into him)

obi wan carried... i really liked everything else about the film though!! i think the ship designs in the prequels are really cool and it made me remember a lot of the toys i had of them growing up lol. i have seen all the star wars movies before but it's been maybe a decade since i last watched them so rewatching them now feels like watching them for the first time!!

anyway. overall i like the prequels and i'm excited to see revenge of the sith next week!!! if you have opinions on the prequels let me know :]
