how do people live on their own??

how do people who live on their own stop themselves from going insane?? i know when im hone alone for just a couple hours i feel so paranoid, any small sound and i immediately assume someones coming to kill me and i have to plan an escape route. theres also just the fact that youre lonely all the time and you have no one to talk to. while spending time alone is nice, i like having the option of talking to someone constantly available, its very comforting. and does not talking to people all the time affect your voice?? like when you wake up and your voice starts to go a bit raspy or is it different since youre awake??

FR my dad goes to training, my mum takes my brother to karate, and I'm all alone
Scene: me in my room, blasting music on my Google Dot, vibing to songs i simply cannot listen to whilst my parents are home, then I think if a scary image I saw 2 years ago, the boiler, situated practically in the walls of my room makes a weird sound, or i hear something downstairs and i throw myself out of my bloody window and start running down the street

A semi autobiography, by yours truly 🎀

no literally!! and going downstairs is so scary, especially since theres this wall thing at the bottom at the stairs that holds up the banister and i cant see round it so ive basically convinced myself someone is gonna jump from round it and stab me. that or that im just gonna look and see someone in my living room/ back garden.

I don't mind silence much but it's good to have internet friends from different parts of the world/country for that, so you can call them and chat for a bit. Having a pet also helps :]

having online friends is great but i personally feel like its not quite the same as talking to someone in person, not quite sure exactly how though.

i recently got a kitten to keep me company while ive been unemployeed and my bf has been off at work.
I also think the death of 3rd spaces has really caused a rise in loneliness and insanity, so if you can find a local library, mall, cafe, etc. that wont yell at you for "loitering", take advantage of that

i hate how loitering is seen as such a problem, like people just existing outside shouldnt be a problem.
