it has been such a hectic month (´〜｀*)!!

finally have some time to sit down and share～～

my busiest month yet.... not much time to pursue my interests creatively (aka brush up on using editing softwares) as i wanted to before going abroad Like i was living in a different place each week

i was supposed to move out at the end of 7月 but got pushed back a whole week so i had to unpack all my stuff again → back home in la for week 2 but going to the office everyday to meet the internship team irl^^ → week long conference but i had a nice hotel → home again for 3 days → we are in 한국

began 8月 with kimi ni todoke season 3, can life get any better～

with the release date basically right after my bday i treated it as my birthday present

i was so shocked hearing snippets of the original ost 

and the color palette still being soft, real shoujo is back!

knt is one of the only mangas where i collected in a row (me with vol15-30) so it was such a treat to finally seeing them adapted and warmed my heart 4sure

knowing my 21 y/o life starts with knt ost = ^_^

.....(ｕ_ｕ*) although i did feel like i was 13 again

repurposed tommy heavenly6 logo from winter 2023 pink wallpaper onto a white background & slightly larger logo size cause it was hell finding a wallpaper i enjoyed for fall (-∀-`; )

my only gripe is that the logo is slightly blurry because i couldnt find a super clean version so i just slightly edited from these scans

finally got around to reading teen spirit(틴 스피릿) manhwa and went into it knowing nothing other than digging the art but unfortunately its unfinished at 25 chapters due to the author's passing but recommend if you like light-hearted band stories (⌒_⌒)추천 its about a group of band members recruited to become trainees at a label to create a band

the week long conference was so draining i hate being in professional spaces because i just feel like im eating ass networking and wearing business clothes but i genuinely earned a lot in the realm of health ^-8

【Day 1】

도착하자마자 왜 이렇게 더워요 wtf.....

i got dropped off right in the middle of busy hongdae and was extremeley overwhelmed and crazy 94% humidity was not helping....

stayed in my 고시원 for 3 hrs before going out again because i could not deal

also people watched on the rooftop because i had to get a sense of my surroundings without being overwhelmed (⍪_⍪)

【Day 2】

dorm move-in day!

can't believe im back in the dorms as a full grown senior (¬_¬") but regardless it went smoothly and i immediately unpack my 2 suitcases in 1hr to head over to Got-cha .ᐟ.ᐟ (갓챠마켓)~~

i bought my ticket in advance but arrived there and was ^^?.... where do i go and my ass just waited outside for 30 mins with others when i had to go inside and show my qr code to then get a waiting number.....y'all i was 489 --> had to wait for 2.5hrs before getting in 

i wanted to film/take more pics but it was super crowded and didnt want to include faces,, but felt like a fever dream seeing all my favorite artists and sellers in one room outside of witchform Like

very small haul because dotjarimarket was a week after and i didn't want to go too crazy ┐(‘～` )┌ 

【Day 3】

spent the next day outside for 15 hrs exploring outside of campus and holy moly i hit 29k steps meeting new people and tagging along = this is freshman year but on literal steroids (because no covid restrictions) and i also felt like a hag introducing myself as 4th year while everyone is a 2nd/3rd year

did many tourist things yeh

walked into this random bar and was another gojo sighting what...... (look closely) 

【Day 4】

visited 명동 quickly for food and cat cafes GALORE and then did campus tours & orientation

 omgahhh

ended the day with dinner and could not believe this very much real tattoo my german friends friends ex-bf got

【Day 5】

being outside for literally 12+ hrs a day constantly interacting with people really exhausted me so i needed a day to myself (but dont get me wrong i love all the new people i met) 

 so i got a septum piercing (^人^)

i was so nervous cause i usually get a piercing with a friend but the piercer was super nice and literally told me to chill multiple times lol

now i feel 20% cooler~

(especially after dying my eyebrows back to black from having bleached brows over the summer)

coincidentally the piercing shop was near vintage shops that i have been following for years so shopping time ^_____^  i don't like shopping with others because i take my sweet time and i feel so confined from the thought of people waiting for me so twas healing for me

1st stop: cool american unni

& w(°ｏ°)w hysteric scale in fitting room 

2nd stop: hippie 언니

3rd stop: modern and abstract wear

no pics because i was just here on friend's request back in the states but got a issey jacket for them (¬‿¬ ) 

4th stop: jfashion & 멋있는 언니 

closest to my style however the prices were pretty high like a vivienne westwood top was 190k won which is (iguess)valid but.....holding off until i hit more spots like its barely my fifth day here

note:

store interior and exterior felt like the epitome of papermoon cd+dvd version cover ^^*

on the way to another store my new-septum-ego led me to stop by a photobooth by myself ^^* (just for documentation purposes)

but i had to stop because i realized how many bags i set down to take pics (   ￣ ;;￣) i did not get as much as i could have because i was trying to be realistic with the weather here and the stores had mostly summer pieces and i literally cannot wear more than just a top and bottom (true layering delayed until late september)

got unagi-don to end this very expen$$ive day

【Day 6】

went out to get lunch and dinner with friends and we wanted to get a dessert and do an activity but were too lazy to take the bus anywhere so we just walked around until i saw a maid cafe at the corner of my eye........chottoまって

me: "hey ***** do you know anything about maid cafes?"

friend: "no but if its cheap im down"

me: "okay so its on our left"

the minute the door i opened i was like まって(again)  i didn't prepare myself but they made my friend and i wear headbands, entrance greeting, and we got escorted to our table 

chuckled at the sight of the table next to us of a business man in full suit and tie with cat ears chowing down on an omurice 

korean is my second language so my fluency is fully conversational only but being in a room with 카와이 girls i was slightly anxious cause i also had to translate for my friend too but the best 1hr experience by far~~

the lighting was so atrocious here to take actualpics but i will be back because i accidentally ordered a special special photodeco that take a week for them to make...... i will be more prepared next time i come (″ロ゛)

【Day 7】

성수동 day~ came without an itinerary and hit up the very much touristy spots that weren't really my vibe but just tagged along hehe

i did make us stop at idang club

hoping for future entries with slight more effort (and better pics) & hopefully a vlog of somesort pls but i get so engrossed in the vibes that i forget to film plus i still need to buy a charger adapter for my camcorder since i forgot the outlets here are different ^^;;

also will be stricter with entry uploads because i need to hold myself accountable like damn its the middle of 9月 but i have been so offline that it took me a while to be online again Also my primetime to write blogs is 12-3am in my room but i don't want to wake up my light-sleeper-roommate so i have been waiting for the lounges to open and finally ^ ^

looking forward to visiting places closer to my otaku00's persona
