In Defense of Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 268 (Spoilers)

So I've been scrolling on tiktok today and have been seeing EVERYONE hating on this new chapter. It's pretty frustrating, because most people have been solely READING off of tiktok.

"Sukuna is a fraud" my brother in Christ no he is not. He soloed 90% of the main cast, actually. He was able to kill Choso, Ishigori, Higuruma, Jogo, Kashimo, Yorozu, Gojo, and was able to defeat Hana, Mahoraga, Yuta(?), Maki, Todo, Kusukabe, Panda, Megumi AND Yuji (in the beginning). Sukuna is and will always go down as one of the strongest characters in the series.

"Uraume/Hakari was offscreened/rushed" yes, it was offscreened but NOT RUSHED. Hakari versus Uraume was never meant to be a huge spectacle for the people. She has one moment in Shibuya, and interrupts the big fight in the Culling Game. She was never a prominent character. She was simply Sukuna's servant/zealot, and it makes perfect sense that she kills herself in the end since Sukuna was already dead. (My Goat Hakari remains undefeated)

"Disney ahh ending" literally just shut up and actually READ. Jujutsu Kaisen has always been about how the power of love can absolutely triumph over evil. Yuji fights as a sorcerer because he loves his friends. Gojo states that love is the worst curse of all, but Jujutsu Kaisen 0 shows that love is in fact, a blessing. Through the power of love, Yuta is able to land one of the final shots on Geto. Gojo, Geto's best friend who also loved him, later shows up and finishes the job. Toji names Megumi because he is not a curse, but a blessing. And at the very end, Megumi chooses to live again because of the love that Yuji has shown for him.

"Whats with the tone shift at Gojo's letters?" Megumi and Yuji literally just went through the worst time of their lives, would it kill you to let them relax for a SECOND? I loved the fact that Gojo (in death unfortunately) was able to get a genuine smile and a laugh out of Megumi. He smiled, laughed and said "it's all good". It makes me think that he always sorta knew that Gojo killed Toji.

Overall, the ending to the Shinjuku Showdown arc so far feels good, and deserved. I'm excited to see the last 3 chapters and what's going on with Yuta.
