Should i dye my hair pink?

Heyy yall, so today my friend dyed parts of my hair pink with a highlighter (kinda like skunk hair but with less stripes), and it looked soooo cuteee. I really wanna dye it with real hair dye but the thing is that i have rly controversial parents who thinks its a "rebellious" look (like girlll that's the point..). They'd probably want me to get it done professionally if they actually agreed but girlll i ain't got the money for that... Should i just go for it and dye it by myself? Pls tell me if u have any ideas or personal experiences <3
