Alright so I've loved Facade for a while and i wanted to make a blog rambling about it, I haven't seen a Facade enjoyer on here before so if you do like Facade please comment!!

Facade is a psychological horror game made in 2005 by Michael Mateas and Andrew Stern, its has some AI in it but obviously wasn't that advanced at the time, It includes the two main characters Trip and Grace who are married and about 30 years old, they live in a fancy apartment which Grace often decorates, their marriage is well.. shitty to say the least..

The couple invites the player over for an evening, since they all went to college together and the player is the reason Trip and Grace got together, but .. since they basically hate eachother now , they mostly just argue all evening, and its the players job to do something with their relationship status.
There are 4 possible endings regording their relationship (+ 2 more).

- Trip leaves, breaking up with Grace.
- Grace leaves, breaking up with Trip.
- The player helps them solve the problem and is thanked, Grace and Trip express how they will figure it out.
- Trip/Grace says that everything is alright and the player leaves(if they dont leave immideately afterwards they can hear Trip and Grace continue to argue)

This game is.. obviously really tacky, the textures arent the best but i thing that's what gives it charm, the shitty textures + "deep" story is kind of appealing to me, i also really like the music. Now i will talk about my opinion on Trip and Grace.

- Grace: I love her, i dont care what anyone says, she might have some problems but she is GIRLBOSS!!

Grace grew up spoiled, her parents are hella rich and she has always had a silver spoon in her mouth, but she dosent like that, she views her parents as "too classy" , Grace went to art major in college and loves to paint, but Trip is preventing her from doing this. Is she a good person? No, not really she slept with another art major named Vince the night before Trip proposed, she claims she "jinxed" their marriage, is she better than Trip? Yeah.

- Trip: I also like his character, but not as much as Grace's, he's an awkward lil fella.. i headcanon him with autism.

Trip , oposite of Grace grew up poor, he also dislikes his parents mildly, to the point where he hates being refered to as his birth name (that being Travis), he usually hides this, but you can get him to confess that he is afraid of being poor, this is why he buys himself expensive trinkets, which Grace dislikes. Trip likes to mix drink and was a bartender in his college years, he also has a fixation on his little advice giving 8-ball, proving that he is not very stable in making decisions , unlike his other stuff, the 8-ball is a cheap little thing by his mother. Is he a good person? No, he's had an affair with Maria, their client(both Trip and Grace work at advertizing) and is preventing her wife from doing what she wants, is he better than Grace? Nope.ű

I guess opposites dont always attract, my final thoughts: This game is amazing, i really do hope they make a part 2, there has been plans for it, but it was not made.. yet.
