I just moved into college recently (a week ago), and I just found myself an hour ago crying in a deli shop. why? The sandwich I ate reminded of home and spending time with my sisters, GOD I'M TEARING UP RN I PROBABLY SOUND SO CRINGEY. But I cant help but miss home so much, it feels like I've been here for a month already. Is this what I should aspect? does anyone have experience like this, is it just a one time thing. I just want this feeling to be oover

Homesickness is totally normal for first-time college students. You're in a new place by yourself for the first time and you're learning how to manage on your own on top of the academics, it can be a lot to handle!!
It's not cringey to be homesick, though. I definitely recommend making good friends and attending campus events/getting involved with clubs and organizations that interest you, that sort of thing can keep your mind occupied. Also work hard for your classes, that's important, too. Give yourself some time to adapt and warm up to the college environment. The homesick feeling might not totally go away, but it should get better with time. Honestly, I'm in my third year of college and I still go home every weekend I can.
Oh, and make sure you stay safe and be careful!!
