Yuri (DDLC) character analysis??

I still see too many people create caricatures of Yuri, dismissing any deeper traits she has. I personally relate a lot to her, so I tried to write down her character how I see it (from as much as I can remember).

Although Yuri is shy and quiet, she tends to rant about topics that interest her. Along with her knife collection, we can assume she stays quiet out of fear of being judged. She’s into darker things, like horror, but doesn’t want that to define her. I believe Yuri is very introverted, meaning she needs time alone to gather energy to socialise, but she does enjoy talking to her friends. She’s not always quiet, she just needs to be around the right people. This also shows in the side stories, where she gains a disliking to Natsuki’s friends for being mean to Natsuki. Yuri values real friendship, real connections with people that won’t judge. All in all, she wants to be herself. The literature club turned out to be the perfect place for that.

Please please pleassseeeeeeeuhhhhhhh do not think of Yuri as a “crazy yandere” girl whose only traits are being creepy and cutting herself. I love her character and have found comfort in seeing a character like her, quiet unless around the right people and with some darker interests :))
