first day of school!

today was my first day of university, and it all went well. 

I started my day by buying my textbooks for the semester, which went smoothly! I got free pancakes from some people in front of one of the buildings, too. I only had two classes but they both felt productive! both of them were with my friend! my calculus professor is a quantum physicist. i'm a little intimidated by the math courses i'm going to have to take, but i'm the one who chose to major in math. my second class was chinese and our instructor was incredibly surprised to learn our textbooks were $300 total. but hopefully they'll teach me well...

after classes, I walked around campus and found an adorable little museum, where they had a bust of the goddess Athena. I decided to sketch her before catching the bus back to my dorm.
