Also being a mum is hard no matter if your child is autistic or not :3
I'm saying this not only as someone who dreams of being a mother, but also as someone who took the role of a mother at 14. Not in the "teen pregnancy" way, but in the "younger sister getting neglected by parents and needing someone to replace them" way.

But before you say anything bad about my parents - it was not their fault, they had to take care of my sick grandpa. Thank goodness I was old enough to temporarily be a mother figure for my sister.

This is a goofy audio I saw once, wasn't really implying that being a mother (or just parent in general) was only hard if you have a neurodivergent kid :)
