Q: how was your day, sydney?               

 A:      today was an okay day... i disliked how much i was using screens today. i need to work on distancing myself from electronics, because it's becoming embarrassing to say that most of my hobbies and interests are online! i went to a cat cafe for a little bit today. it was alright, but the cats didn't like me very much and kept running away. T____T my outfit was cute today, but i feel like i wasted a good outfit on a boring day.... i probably should have washed it. i also went on a walk today. it was a good walk! i had to go on an odd path to avoid interacting with my next-door neighbours, though. for some reason i HATE talking to them! i also had a lovely conversation with my friend jordan today! jordan's cool, i like her. they're a freshman and told me about highschool. let's just say i am NOT excited for high school....

 Q: what's on your mind, sydney?

 A:      i've been thinking a lot about my friends and self improvement! so, pretty healthy things today. i'm noticing that I feel very strong platonic emotions and i've been wanting to do some research on that a bit. i listened to a true crime podcast today and i felt empathy, which i'm super SUPER excited about because it means i'm getting closer to being a good person. i've also been thinking a lot about narcissism - it's so interesting to me how these people are just born to be horrible people and live their lives like that. although, i know people who's lives have been severely negatively impacted by narcissists, so i don't really feel any sympathy towards narcissists.

 Q: what did today sound like?

 A:      today was a lot of björk, as it is almost every day for me. but also, a little bit of a genre i recently discovered that i'm pretty obsessed with! according to everynoise, it's called "nouvelle chanson francaise". it has a pretty melancholic sound, but can also be compared to american jazz at times. it's french, too, so bonus points for expanding my music taste all the way to europe!
