Days Slipping By

There's an absolute industrial method to the songs of The Pine, the clock in clock out of complete emotion. It swallows me,

Many songs demonstrate intent for early emo writing, they capture a certain essence that only the underground bands of that 2000s/late 90s scene of skramz and emo were able to produce. Yet these guys do it in such a magnificent and real way, a unique way. A constant pumping drum beat reminiscent of 80s punk, Black Flag style, just consistent. Basslines, they walk up and down, lots of little licks, reminds me of some funk, intense stuff. Take a listen to that vocal delivery as well, it's a whole orchestra of linguistics and a complete joy to try and unravel what he is trying to say, yet underneath all that, it's still pretty evident.

An ocular centerpiece of the way we hold heads above water, days keep slipping and we keep holding on high, in a much less optimistic way, as it may sound.
