Tips for getting into the sulbuculture scene?

hi! i'm a scene kid, and actually the best place that you can get you're clothing is places like goodwill or just thrift stores in general. i've personally found some pretty cool stuff there and is so much more affordable and efficient especially considering how expensive accessories and hair can get. i would also recommend if you're looking for accessories that you should buy materials to make them yourself. it's a lot harder to find cool scene accessories at goodwill and it's a little more expensive up front but it's worth it. it's more accessible and it's not as bad for the environment by not buying into fast fashion. i would say you could find accessories at hot topic, but that's kind of low hanging fruit and i personally haven't seen a lot of super scene kind of accessories personally. if you're going for more of a scene queen look then you're going to want to buy things like fitted shirts, tank tops skinny jeans etc., although there obviously is a lot of room to customize your look. really what you want to focus on most is going to be your hair and makeup, as those are usually the most prominent features of the scene style. i hope this helps <3
