a single person giving romance advice

the idea of love and how watered down it upsets me. i blame rom coms for the way love is or is supposed to be displayed to someone. everyone is different and has different ways of showing love. there was this trend/saying that i saw go around and it was along the lines of "just looked at my partner and sighed" and "if they wanted to, they could". what i don't like about those statements is the feeling of disappointment dissatisfactory that you're giving out to someone ur supposed to love. being "high maintenance" doesn't give you the right to ridicule your partner. im only talking about it because i just saw an interaction about the phrase which lead to a breakup. ppl need to stop comparing themselves and their partners to other ppl and relationships. hopefully ur partner is doing the best they can to show and give you the love you deserve and more so be grateful for what you have ig. idk. i had a point but i forgot. just love ur partner basically
