Why is there so much mall goth hate lately??

Istg every couple weeks the online alt community has SOMETHING mega stupid they wanna argue about for literally no reason. This time it's about the whole subgenre of mallgoths. Everywhere I just see the same copy & paste trad calling them posers like it's clear you guys are allergic to joy, happiness & whimsy. 

I know about the history of mallgoth, and how they WERE originally posers since they (obviously) got their clothes from the mall and listened to more nu metal than goth music but people need to realize that that whole era was like almost 20 years ago now. The Mallgoth has now actually become an actual subgenre of goth and there ARE mallgoths who listen to the right music and have the right values. There is NO REASON to have this "debate" (Especially in 2024) and the whole thing is so stupid I just need to type a rant.
