This year was my fifth year of Anime NYC, my first time going being in 2018. Reminiscing about 2018 ANYC is a double-edged sword because three day ticket prices could be bought in October and only costed $70 when that is now the price of a normal Friday or Sunday ticket. I reused my Anri Warhol closet cosplay from last year since I ended up curled up in a chair at 5pm until 7pm on the lower floor for a cat nap instead of walking around in my cosplay. My wig was regrettably consumed by tangling, whose advances I am so deeply unable to combat, rendering my cosplay unrecognizable to fellow fans and cosplayers. Then again, I probably was not going to be in the mood for photos considering my 3 hour wait on the Aleks Le autograph line dramatically killed my leg strength from all the standing still. I find that my legs hurt less when I am walking than if I am standing in place, which I presume is because when my weight being stationary causes more pressure to be on my feet rather than having it alternate. The worst of it was just caused by my socks eating at my feet constantly, even if I did manage to prevent the horrible blistering that normally comes with the shoes I wore with some cushions and bandages on my heels. I did manage to get a lot of cool stuff today including an F1 themed Teto poster which was very exciting and a shirt from a webcomic! I got a cool daifei shirt but honestly it was a little smaller than I had hoped and makes me a little dysphoric so I am hoping to trade it in for a shirt that feels more comfy tomorrow. I hope you can all wish me luck, since I feel a bit nervous for some reason (08/24/2024). — Mars ᓚᘏᗢ |
